Most privacy policies are promises of behavior; the CorpToolset privacy policy is a description of architecture. We operate on the principle of Zero-Knowledge Computing. This means that our infrastructure is inherently incapable of knowing, seeing, or storing the data you process through our tools. Whether you are counting words in a novel, formatting proprietary source code, or merging confidential records, the digital bits never leave the volatile memory (RAM) of your local machine.

By moving the computation from our cloud servers to your local browser (Client-Side), we eliminate the primary attack vector for modern data breaches. Traditionally, your data travels across the internet to a server, sits in a database, is processed, and is then sent back. At CorpToolset, the tool comes to your data, not the other way around. This ensures that your information is never vulnerable to 'Man-in-the-Middle' attacks on our backend infrastructure.

For tools that require persistent settings (like your preferred case converter choice or username prefix), we utilize HTML5 LocalStorage. This technology allows the browser to remember your preferences without ever informing our servers. You remain in total control of this data through your browser settings, and you can clear it at any time with a single click. We do not use persistent tracking IDs or fingerprinting techniques that follow you across the web. We do not employ session replay tools or invasive heatmaps that record your keystrokes or mouse movements.

We believe in the 'Data Minimalism' philosophy. We only collect the bare minimum of technical data required to deliver the platform to your browser. This includes standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) which are used exclusively for security monitoring and load balancing. These logs are automatically rotated and purged on a 30-day cycle. Because we do not provide account registration, we do not store names, email addresses, or payment information. We have no 'user database' to compromise.

To keep the lights on and the tools free, we utilize industry-standard analytics and advertising partners like Google AdSense. These partners may use cookies to serve relevant ads based on your interests. However, we have configured our integration to be as non-intrusive as possible. Your 'Tool Input Data' (the text or files you process) is never shared with these third parties. They only see that a user has visited a specific page URL, not what the user did on that page. We do not allow third-party trackers to access the content of our tool input fields.

We are fully aligned with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because we do not collect personal identifiers or project data, you are 'Private by Default.' You don't need to ask for a 'Right to be Forgotten' because we never remembered you in the first place. This is the ultimate form of compliance—compliance by non-possession. For residents of the EEA or California, your rights to data portability and deletion are inherently satisfied by our local-first architecture.

CorpToolset does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian believes that CorpToolset has in its database the personally identifiable information of a child under the age of 13, please contact us immediately, and we will use our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records. Given our architecture, such information would only exist in temporary server logs.
